• Sampling Considerations Workshop - 09/22/10
  

  • Registrations are being accepted for the following workshop, which is part of the Research Methodology/Research Case Presentation Series offered by the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions Office of Research. “Sampling Considerations in Research Workshop” will be held Wednesday, Sept. 22, in the Harper Center, room 3027. Xiang Fang, Ph.D., will present the workshop from noon to 2 p.m. From 2 to 4 p.m., Fang and Kimberly Galt, Pharm.D., Ph.D., will provide individual consultations and feedback during 20 minute, appointment only sessions. This workshop will cover: common sampling methods used in research, such as random sampling, cluster sampling, stratified sampling and systematic sampling; choosing the appropriate sampling method for the research; and how to determine and calculate the sample size. This workshop is open to all Creighton University faculty and staff. Please bring a brown bag lunch, drinks will be provided.   • You are invited to an informative 60-minute presentation hosted by Creighton’s Center for Health Services Research and Patient Safety (CHRP). CHRP is hosting a presentation via webinar with Suresh Madhavan, Ph.D., who will present “Building the West Virginia CoHORTS Center” on Thursday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. in Boyne 131. Madhavan is director of the West Virginia Collaborative Health Outcomes Research of Therapies and Services (West Virginia CoHORTS).
